英語培養(yǎng)目標本專業(yè)培養(yǎng)適應社會主義市場經(jīng)濟建設需要，德、智、體、美全面發(fā)展，具備扎實的英語語言文學基本理論知識和英語語言基本技能，并能熟練運用英語在翻譯、教學、外事管理部門和涉外企事業(yè)單位從事英語語言文字工作、具有創(chuàng)新精神和實踐能力的應用型人才。
培養(yǎng)要求本專業(yè)學生主要學習英語語言、文學、歷史、政治、經(jīng)濟、社會文化等方面的基本理論和基本知識，受到英語聽、說、讀、寫、譯等方面的良好的訓練，掌握一定的科研方法，具有一定的人文社會科學和自然科學基本理論知識，掌握本專業(yè)的基礎知識、基本理論、基本技能，具有獨立獲取知識、提出問題、分析問題和解決問題的基本能力及開拓創(chuàng)新的精神具備一定的從事本專業(yè)業(yè)務工作的能力和適應相鄰專業(yè)業(yè)務工作的基本能力與素質(zhì)，具有從事翻譯、教學、管理工作的業(yè)務水平。
